On the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the liberation of Izmir, the photographs and documents housed in our Society's Archive that shed light on the history of Izmir have been digitized and made available for remote access. In collaboration with the Governorship of Izmir and Dokuz Eylul University, our Society will organize the “September 9, Liberation of Izmir Panel” in Izmir on September 9, 2024.
The event will also include the inauguration of the exhibition titled "The Western Front in the War of Independence: Photographs from the Archives of the Turkish Historical Society" and this exhibition is open to public participation.
