Our Society will host the “Andalusia Workshop (Andalusian Heritage: History, Culture, and Encounters)” on November 29, 2024.

The primary aim of the workshop is to assess the current state of research on Andalusian civilization and to provide a framework for the future direction of research, focusing on both methodology and content. Topics to be discussed will include the past, present, and future of Andalusian studies, the city, social life, and economy in Andalusia, the nature and scope of political and cultural encounters within the region, as well as the role of science, philosophy, and Islamic sciences in Andalusia.

The workshop will feature the participation of 20 scholars from various universities across Turkey and will take place at the Society’s Bilkent Campus. The event will be open to public participation.
