“The Second Workshop on the History of the Turkic World,” hosted by Farabi Kazakh National University, was convened in Almaty through the collaboration of our institution and the Turkic Academy. The workshop brought together officials from the history and ethnology institutes of the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States, as well as numerous academics. Opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen, President of the Turkish Historical Society; Prof. Dr. Şahin Mustafayev, President of the Turkic Academy; Prof. Dr. Canseyit Tüymebayev, Rector of Farabi Kazakh National University; and İkram Adyrbek, Member of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States.
Publications of our institution were presented to the libraries of the Kazakh National Library, Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University, and the Academy of Sciences. The opening ceremonies for these library collections, inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen, President of the Turkish Historical Society, were attended by Ayhan Korkmaz, Education Attaché of the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty, together with university officials and Turkish educators and students affiliated with the institutions.
Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen, President of the Turkish Historical Society, and the accompanying delegation also paid a visit to Ms. Tuğba Alan Özdenfedakar, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Kazakhstan.
