Possible Joint Activities Were Discussed with Representatives of Scientific and Cultural Institutions in Kosovo

Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen, President of the Turkish Historical Society, undertook an official visit to Kosovo to explore potential collaborative projects with local scientific and cultural institutions. He commenced his visit with courtesy calls on H.E. Tunç Angılı, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pristina, and Celal Doğan, Consul General in Prizren. As part of his program, Prof. Dr. Özgen visited the Tomb of Sultan Murad I Hüdavendigar in Pristina. He attended the iftar dinner organized by the Turkish Representative Delegation in Prizren, meeting with Turkish Consul General in Prizren Celal Doğan and the President of the Kosovo Turkish Representative Delegation, Colonel Ersin Çelikkanat, along with representatives of Turkish organizations in Kosovo and Turkish soldiers.

During his visit to Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Özgen met with University of Pristina Rector Prof. Arben Hajrullahu, Faculty of Philology Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdulla Rexhepi, History Institute Director Teuta Shala Peli, and Albanology Institute Acting Director Naim Berisha. After meeting with faculty members from the university’s Turkology and Oriental Studies departments, he also visited Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Ramazan Yılmaz.
