Since its inception, the Turkish Historical Society has actively engaged in cultural and artistic endeavors alongside its scientific research in Turkish studies and history. Inheriting the value that our Society’s founder, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atat\u00fcrk, placed on the fields of science, culture, and art, our Institution has initiated a series of Science, Culture, and Art Conferences to commemorate the 100th anniversary of our Republic. These conferences comprehensively address these subjects over an extended period and our country\u2019s accumulation in the fields of science, culture and art is being evaluated.<\/p>\n
As part of this conference series, on Friday, June 28, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ta\u015fa\u011f\u0131l, a member of the Turkish Historical Society Scientific Board and faculty member at Istanbul Yeditepe University, will give a lecture titled \u201cTurkish Tribes in History.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event will take place at 15:00 in our Society’s conference hall and is open to public participation.<\/p>\n
PROF. DR. AHMET TA\u015eA\u011eIL<\/strong><\/p>\n Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ta\u015fa\u011f\u0131l completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul University in 1985 and earned his doctorate in 1991, presenting a thesis entitled \u201cG\u00f6kt\u00fcrks (542-630).\u201d He has served in various academic roles within the History Department at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, including research assistant, assistant professor, associate professor, and professor. Additionally, he has held several administrative positions, such as Dean at Hoca Ahmet Yesevi International Turkish-Kazakh University, Director of the Research and Application Center at Kyrgyzstan-T\u00fcrkiye Manas University, and Vice Rector and Department Head at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Since 2015, he has been a faculty member in the History Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Yeditepe University. Prof. Ta\u015fa\u011f\u0131l’s research focuses on Pre-Islamic Turkish History, Central Asian History, and Turkish Cultural History.
