Prof. Dr. Y\u00fcksel \u00d6ZGEN<\/strong><\/h4>

He was born in 1971 in \u00c7orum where he completed his primary, secondary, and high school education. In 1993, he graduated from the History Department of Ankara University\u2019s Faculty of Language and History-Geography. In 1994, he was appointed as a Research Assistant at the History Department of K\u0131r\u0131kkale University. In 1995, he received his master\u2019s degree at Sel\u00e7uk University; in 2004, he received his Ph.D. at Hacettepe University Institute of Atat\u00fcrk\u2019s Principles and History of the Revolution.
In 1999, he started work as an archive specialist in the Presidency of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye Directorate of State Archives. In 2000, he was appointed as an archive specialist in the General Secretariat of the Presidency for a while. In 2005, he was appointed as a lecturer at the University of Tirana, Albania, within the scope of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Turcology Project. In the scope of the same project, he worked as a lecturer at the University of Bosnia-Herzegovina Tuzla in 2006. He started to work as a lecturer at \u00c7ank\u0131r\u0131 Karatekin University, Department of History, in 2009. Same year, he was appointed as chair of the Department of Atat\u00fcrk\u2019s Principles and Revolution History at the same university. Between 2014 and 2018, he served as a coordinator at \u00c7ank\u0131r\u0131 Municipality Dr. R\u0131fk\u0131 Kamil Urga \u00c7ank\u0131r\u0131 Research Center. Between 2016 and 2019, he was director of the Graduate School of Social Sciences at \u00c7ank\u0131r\u0131 University. In 2017, he received the title of Associate Professor, and in January 2023, he was appointed as Professor at K\u0131r\u0131kkale University.
In 2018, he was elected as a permanent member of the Science Board of the Atat\u00fcrk Research Center. In 2019, he was appointed as the Deputy President of the Atat\u00fcrk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History. In September 2021, he was appointed as the President of the Atat\u00fcrk Research Center. On January 4, 2023, he was appointed as President of the Atat\u00fcrk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History. With the Presidential Decree dated August 4, 2023, he was appointed as the President of the Turkish Historical Society.
